Hazel has been The Drive’s London outpost for a year, specialising in electric vehicles and new fuel and powertrain technologies. She’s covered tech in motorsport since the inception of Formula E and has been a journalist for 17 years.

Hazel writes and talks about electric vehicles, batteries and racing. Her work has appeared on the BBC, The Independent, RaceFans, CAR magazine, Motor Sport magazine and many other publications. She featured as an expert commentator in Formula E’s Unplugged series, academy award winner Fisher Stevens’ documentary And We Go Green, Amazon’s Lewis Hamilton - The Art Of Winning and is a regular podcast host and guest, as well as speaking at education and industry conferences.

Hazel is named after a nuclear reactor that recreated the Chernobyl meltdown.
